Services for Children Age 18 months - 10 years
Hello, I’m Kirsten (she/her)! I’m a Speech-Language Pathologist, but still a child at heart! I truly believe in the power of learning through play and having fun, which is part of the reason I love my career! Working closely with families allows me to provide quality services while creating strong relationships with everyone involved.
Both my undergraduate and graduate degrees were completed at Minot State University. After graduating, I worked in Calgary, Alberta in the schools and started my private practice. I have now moved back to Saskatoon, SK, where I am originally from and am so excited the practice has expanded to both cities! I am available to provide in person services to clients in Saskatoon and online services for children across Saskatchewan and Alberta! I am co-owner of The Village YXE and operate my own independent business It’s a Speech Thing Inc. in the space.
While I’m not wearing my SLP hat, I am a new mom to my son, I enjoy baking, spending time with my family, staying active, and of course, watching Netflix!
Delaney Chaykowski
M.Sc.-SLP, B.Ed., SLP (C), REGISTERED SK
Services 18 months - Adulthood
Hi, I’m Delaney (she/her)! I am a dedicated speech language pathologist with over a decade of experience in the field. I worked as a teacher before transitioning into a career as a speech language pathologist, gaining a deep understanding of how communication and learning intersect. I have extensive experience supporting children and adults in a variety of settings, with a special focus on fluency disorders (stuttering), literacy development, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for individuals with complex medical and communication needs. One of my key passions is promoting literacy and a love for reading in children with complex needs, particularly those who use AAC devices, ensuring they have access to rich, meaningful literacy experiences. I am also passionate about working with adults with dementia helping them maintain meaningful connections through communication support. I have taken Reconciliation training, Indigenous Studies courses, anti-racism training, nand specialized training focused on supporting First Nations children and am committed to fostering inclusive, culturally responsive care. I bring both professional expertise and personal insight as a mom of two into my work, helping families integrate speech and language strategies into their daily lives in a way that feels natural and effective. Outside of work I am an avid reader, enjoy participating in fishing tournaments with my husband, and staying active through aerial hoop classes. I am excited to be part of The Village team, bringing my passion for education, communication, and family-centered care to the adults and children I will support!
