Position: Speech Language Pathologist

Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible)

Compensation Structure: Employee or Independent Contractor Options Available

About the position:

We are currently looking for clinicians interested in working within pediatric speech and language services and/or newborn and infant feeding services. Clinicians are not expected to work across all areas, and we are committed to supporting practitioners in developing a caseload that aligns with their interests, experience, and professional goals. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced clinicians and newer graduates seeking mentorship within a supportive, collaborative, and family-centered environment. Immediate caseload availability exists in both service areas. Clinicians at The Village YXE have the opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment alongside speech language pathologists, psychologists, counsellors, occupational therapists, literacy support providers, and a variety of body workers. We highly value interdisciplinary collaboration and shared support across providers.

Areas of Practice (one or both)

Pediatric Speech & Language (Assessment and Intervention)

  • Speech sound disorders

  • Language delays and disorders4

  • Early intervention populations

  • Social communication differences

  • Neurodiversity-affirming support for autistic children

  • Myofunctional therapy

  • Clinicians work closely with families and caregivers to provide individualized, functional, and strengths-based care

Newborn & Infant/Pediatric Feeding

  • Breastfeeding support

  • Bottle feeding support

  • Transition to solids and early feeding development

  • Oral motor feeding challenges

  • Pediatric Dysphagia

  • Tethered Oral Tissues (Lip and Tongue ties)

  • Parent and caregiver education

  • Clinicians will have the opportunity to work closely with providers who focus on airway health, infant oral development, and comprehensive care creating a highly rewarding and impactful clinical experience

Required Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Registration and good standing with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan (CSASK) or eligibility for registration

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with families and team members

  • A collaborative and growth-oriented mindset
